In the past, I had to solder the two wires with the solder iron, and then use a heat gun to shrink the heat shrink tubing to wrap the copper wire. Until I found, it is really time saver, it just took 30 mins for me to finish the joint, while it would take about 2 hours to finish the same joint via using the old way. Though it is a little bit expensive than the heat shrink tubing, I will recommend these solderless wire connectors.

These are very nice. I get a good solid connection which is waterproof to boot. I'm running wire for security camera and these make like a lot easier. Actually, I run wire for lots of things so these will continue to be handy. One of these days I'll get a nice heat gun but for now I'm using one of those inexpensive little butane lighters for a bbq. It really doesn't take a lot of heat.

Works pretty good i took a few apart to add more solder rings in 1 sleeve to make sure i had a solid connection. I used a matco propane heat gun with a deflector, only hold it on for 3-5 seconds at a time until you see the soldier liquefy and disperse

Yes, it works! And it's quite helpful. But it takes a little experience - the right temperature is key! Not too few and not too much heat. And it takes much more heat than just for shrinking the tube. Things around must be protected.
